Carolyn Romero has more than 30 years of business experience, including 25 years in public accounting.  Since leaving public accounting in 2004, she has provided technical accounting and SEC reporting for public companies ranging from $0.5 billion to $10 billion of revenue. Carolyn also has experience in mergers and acquisitions, business valuations, financial and debt restructuring, and financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting.  

Carolyn has served on the public company board of VCG Holdings Corp. as an independent Director, Audit Committee Chair and Financial Expert and as a Director of the City of Loveland Employee Retirement Plan. Previously, Ms. Romero was an Audit and Litigation Partner for Gordon Hughes and Banks, LLC and Karsh Consulting, LLC and worked for the San Jose office of Deloitte and Touche.  Carolyn has been active on several nonprofit boards including two years serving as Treasurer for Business & Professional Women/USA and President of BPW/Colorado. She obtained her MBA with honors from Colorado State University and her BS in Accounting and Finance from the University of Illinois, Chicago. Carolyn maintains an active CPA certificate and a CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst) license.
