Courtney Cowgill is the Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Treasurer of VCG Holdings. She has been an actively licensed CPA since 1977.

She has over 25 years of business experience, including three years as an auditor with an international accounting firm, two years in internal audit and almost fifteen years in senior financial and executive roles for several companies.

Courtney has also worked in operational roles, serving as:

• VP of Operations for a credit card company
• Operational Director of Operations for an architecture firm
• Executive Director of Program Management in Engineering

Courtney has been very active in the accounting community, serving as Chapter and National President of the American Society of Women Accountants. She has also served on board of other organizations, including Chapter President of the Colorado Centennial Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants; Chair of the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the Colorado Women’s Leadership Coalition and President of Women in Cable & Telecom and President of the Metro State Alumni Association. She also served four years as the CPA representative to the Colorado Lottery Commission, including chairing the Commission. Courtney also volunteers in numerous other charitable and civic organizations, including the Rotary Club of Denver SE and the Metropolitan State College of Denver Foundation. Courtney was appointed to a CPA position on the Colorado State Board of Accountancy in August, 2006 by Governor Bill Owens.

Courtney earned a BS in Accounting from Metro State and a MS in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Courtney is one of approximately 20 accountants in Colorado with four certifications: CPA, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
